Speed up CD/DVD-ROM

# hdparm -d1 /dev/cdrom
# cp /etc/hdparm.conf /etc/hdparm.conf_backup
# gedit /etc/hdparm.conf

Append the following lines at the end of file

/dev/cdrom {dma = on}
